Who doesn’t love a good deal? Or even better than a good deal, free!
As an avid hoppy-hopper I know how expensive it can be to dive into a new hobby. Fabric alone can cost a fortune, never mind getting into buying patterns.
At the same time, writing patterns is harder than it seems, and the whole process can be tedious and really suck the joy out of creating. So maybe don’t be so hard on those of us trying to make a living with our sewing machines… k?

I also know it can be hard to find a pattern creator whose brain works like yours. Someone who writes patterns that make sense to you.
I’d hate for you to spend your hard-earned cash on my patterns only to realize you hate my style of writing and graphic style so I’ve got a small collection of free patterns available for you to check out!
Most of them are full projects, either throw or wall quilts that feature a simple technique that I’d personally feel guilty charging money for, but occasionally I’ll throw up a block pattern temporarily while a full quilt pattern is in a time out.

Fair warning, sometimes patterns live in purgatory for years, while other times they’re only on hold for a few months!
If you see something you like, download it for free when you see so you know you’ve got it!
I use the same format for all of my patterns, whether they’re free or for sale. They’re all digital PDFs meant to be printed on regular printer paper.
I’m a big fan of putting printed patterns in a plastic sleeve so I can scribble all over them with dry-erase markers. I highly recommend you give it a try!
