Stamp Collector Quilt Pattern – Jelly Roll Friendly Throw Quilt

Postage Stamp Quilts are a classic design from back in the days of using every scrap and wasting nothing. I’m a big fan of the look of tiny piecing, but the idea of working with tiny squares made me dizzy so I came up with an easier method!

This technique will work with any size strip, you’ll just need to adjust the width of the strips you cut from your strip units.

Description

Baby/Table Quilt (30 x 30)
– 12 Jelly Roll (2.5”) Strips*
– 1/2 yard Sashing
– 1 yard for Backing
– 1/3 yard for Binding or 4 – 2.5” Strips

Throw Quilt (58 x 58)
– 36 + 1 Jelly Roll (2.5”) Strips*
– 1 1/4 yards Sashing
– 3 2/3 yards for Backing
– 1/2 yard for Binding or 6 – 2.5” Strips

*for 2 color blocks substitute 1 3/8 yards (throw) or 3/8 yard (baby) of each color
